Wishing our Oxfam Team Good Luck!

We are excited to announce that Geocaching Victoria is participating in Oxfam again this year! Our team Huh? What? is represented by Adriaan Homburg, Richard Homburg and Warren Baldwin. Together they will walk 100km in 48 hours over the course of the weekend 25-27th March 2022. The team have been training hard and are prepared for the adventure that lies ahead. The team will begin at 6am at checkpoint 1. You can follow them on live tracking during the day or visit the trail and cheer them on.

For those of you that don’t know, Oxfam Trailerwalker is one of the most inspiring challenges you can do. It’s not a relay, but a team event where you start together, stick together and finish together. It’s tough, but with training and a can-do attitude it possible. Money raised, assists Oxfam in supporting humanitarian emergencies, climate justice and fighting against povery, hunger and inequality.

Oxfam are still looking for volunteers. If you can assist, please contact them directly. All geocacher volunteers that cover at least one shift will go into the draw for a new geocoin. We look forward to you sharing your photos as your support the team.

If you have not yet donated to support this great cause, tomorrow at 8am Deloitte will double every donation to a cap of $20k.

There’s just one tiny catch…

…you’ve gotta be fast! Dollar match day kicks-off at 8AM TOMORROW (22nd March 2022) and will last for 24 hours or until the $20K cap is reached. With more than 1,400 participants hoping to double their impact, it won’t last long.
