The Sunbury Event – Block Party Committee

We’ve assembled an all-star team to make this event unforgettable and are thrilled to introduce ConnieandRick, Crack’n’LeeLee, BFMC, FMH1977, and ILookedThere. Find out a little more about your Block Party Committee below.

Favourite Cache Type: Unknowns/Challenges

Current Caching Goal:  Too many! – getting closer to my Jasmer (2 to go), reaching my 7000th find, and qualifying for all the challenges I signed when in Europe in June.

Favourite Cache found: Geocaching brings you to so many fabulous places but the standout is Cathedral Cavern Cache in the Lake District, UK (GC2CQB7). A beautiful location with a wonderful cavern and if you continue the circuit you walk through inside the mountain and come out the other side. Just magical.

Favourite Cache Type: Bushwalking, Kayaking & anything that takes me to a new location off the beaten track.

Current Caching Goal: Working towards our 7000th find and a number of project-gc badges

Favourite Cache found: There has been many, however the event at the top of Mt Kosi was definitely memorable!

Favourite Cache Type: I love Challenge Caches. As a self confessed stats nerd, I think nothing of spending years working towards qualifying for a single cache. I probably spend just as much time on project-gc as I do caching.

Current Caching Goal: Currently I am (very slowly) working on completing D/T Loop number 4 (6 caches to go) and my Ausmer grid (7 months to go) for finds. For hides, I am working towards hiding a cache for each of the 12 months of 2024 Cache Hider Themes.

Favourite Cache found: I cant choose just one, so I’m going to say it’s a toss up between GC6F12: London – Beatles Abbey Rd (A webcam overlooking the zebra crossing on Abbey Rd made famous by the Beatles) and GC80C9Q Eiffel TB palace – A letter-box TB hotel on the bank of the River Seine, which looks over the Eiffel Tower and has over 1100 favourite points (at a mind blowing 72% FP rate!)

Favorite Cache Type: Challenge caches (That I can actually solve)

Current Caching Goal: Short Term Goal – Complete the D/T chart. Long Term Goal Cache in 100 Countries. (39 Completed so far)

Favorite Cache found: So many awesome caches, but in recent times I really loved this one in Singapore, a very clever cache. The Illuminator – GCA5FCV.

Favorite Cache Type: Night caches and any that take us to amazing places.

Current Caching Goal: (Jodie) We don’t really have any caching goals. We enjoy finding caches in areas we haven’t been before. But we mostly enjoy putting out caches and using our creativity to make really fun caches for others to enjoy.

Current Caching Goal: (Paul) To have fun. We tend to target specific caches when we visit new areas, get sidetracked by that location and spend hours exploring. So even though our find count is low, our hours spent exploring count is high.

Favorite Cache found: (Paul) Rowdy at Night is my favorite cache as it was our first night cache (and Jodie told me I couldn’t choose Black Ops).
