The St Arnaud Event – Accommodation

So the cat is now out of the bag and we all know that the next MEGA event in Victoria will be GC7DN55 The St Arnaud Event 2019. It will be held at Lord Nelson Park in St Arnaud on November 16-17th 2019. Make sure you log your “will attend”.

There is a team of hard working volunteers who are beavering away behind the scenes to make The St Arnaud Event 2019 unforgettable (in all the right ways)! We know there have been lots of queries regarding Accommodation so that’s what this update is for.

Accommodation

St Arnaud is a small town so accommodation options are limited (and motels are already booked) but there are a few options still available:

The Old Convent

The Old Convent is now taking bookings at $60 per person, per night. There are 25 beds available (two night minimum). To book contact Catherine on melbmach@dodo.com.au or 0427288540.

Caravan Park

Whilst the Caravan Park itself is fully booked the Caravan Park owners have also secured sites within Lord Nelson Park and are taking bookings for these. To book please call 03 5495 1447.

Free Camping

As St Arnaud is surrounded by bush there are some magnificent free camps around. One of the most popular ones in Walkers (a beautiful lake, public toilets) which is only 20mins away in Avon Plains.

Other Nearby Towns

There are plenty of towns just a short drive away (and let’s face it they are closer than what it took for many who live in Melbourne to get to and from The Parkville Event 2018). You can check out accommodation options in:

  • Donald
  • Wedderburn
  • Charlton
  • Dunolly
  • Inglewood
  • Bridgewater

Stay tuned for more updates to come!
