Activities update – GSAK

Another update in a series of posts on some of the activities we have planned for The Melbourne Event in November.

On to the update!
GSAKits a complete mystery to some and an absolute savior to others.  We will be running a series of different sessions aimed at the complete beginner, right up to the experienced user.  We encourage you to bring along your laptop and get hands on.  There will be takeaway notes to help you remember everything when you get home too.

Activities update

This is the first of a series of posts on some of the activities we have planned for The Melbourne Event in November.
We are planning a full agenda of activities that will run at our venue in Casey Fields as well as related activities a little further afield.  None are compulsory and attendance at the activities is not required to claim a find on the event.  If you want to spend your entire weekend finding caches and only appear on site to sign the log book, that is totally cool.A tricky hide

On to the update!
We have invited an experienced, award-winning, geocache hider to come along and give some tips on everything from container types, camouflage, painting and glues to magnets and working with Groundspeaks’ guidelines.
You never know what ideas a session like this might spark for your next devious hide!

Event Published!

Earlier today, the first step in our journey to our exciting, Victorian first, event in November has begun. The event has been published on geocaching.com

The Melbourne Event 2015 can now be found online.

If you are planning to join the fun, please log a Will Attend on the event page.  Using the format “StarNumberStar” will make it easier for us to find the information on number of attendees. For example two people write *2* and for thirteen*13*. If your family members each have their own account, everyone logging their own Will Attend will help our cause.

Note that the event is currently listed for a date in the past.  The correct date is Saturday and Sunday the 14th and 15th November 2015, as listed on the event page.  The date will be corrected by geocaching.com in due course.

Over the next few weeks we will be doing some posts here on this website with some sneak peaks at the sort of great activities we are planing for you at the event. To keep up to date, enter your email address in the box at the top of the page and you will get an email every time we post new information!
